I just happened to hear
you play in Langley today and bought your CD "Peace".
The whole album is great,
but my favourite is "Christopher". Thanks for the
music!
It's perfect for listening on the highway in the car.

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for the excellent job you did for us during the Karel Gott reception at the Wall Centre Hotel on May 16.
The feedback I got from all who commented, and there were many, was positive and enthusiastic. The guest of honour said it was perfect for the occasion and the very accomplished musicians in his band were very impressed, as well.
My only regret is that, as busy as I was with organizing everything, I did not have more time to just hang back and listen. But what I did hear, sounded wonderful. And thanks so much for helping set up the sound gear for us.
I sure hope that I have a future opportunity to hear you play and/or recommend you to someone in need of musical entertainment.

John was absolutely fantastic!
John was already onsite setting up as I arrived, he was flexible with his playing schedule and he also saved the day when our microphone cord was too short - Needless to say, his service was far beyond our expectations.
Most importantly though, John's music added to the ambience of the evening and was the perfect background music for our event.

Hello
John,
I wanted to drop you a
note to thank you for your wonderful music during
our event on June 2, 2007 at the Museum of Anthropology.
You and your music set exactly the tone and atmosphere
we were looking for, and really was a natural extention
of the event itself. We received incredibly positive
comments from our guests... but the guests really
said it all with their spontaneous applause after
each of your sets. I have to tell you that these guests
were the Chief Executive Officers comprising the "inner
circle" of the world's top airlines. They have been
everywhere around the world, and have seen/heard the
best, and for them to be so impressed with your music
speaks volumes about what you do.
There is no question who
we will call if we ever have the opportunity to host
a similar type function or event. Thank you again
John.

The style is called "nouveau
flamenco" and Langley acoustic guitarist John
Gilliat is blazingly good at it. Light a candle, pour
some camomile and don't wonder how he moves his hands
so fast of you'll just stress.

Loved The Music! It

Your
Excellent Cd's Thankyou
very much for the shipment of all your CD'S!!! I was
so excited, I keep playing them all over and over....I
LOVE your music.
Thankyou also for the
bonus CD. I will give it, "Peace" to my
sister who also loves your music. I had purchased
"Peace" from you last August when we met
you in Fort Langley.
We had our pic taken with you in front of that log
cabin in an alley full of shops. That place , with
your music was such a sureal experience, a natural
high!
I'll never forget that summer. Thankx for being a
huge part of it.

Hey
John, Received
your CD Peace
in the mail this week. It's
fantastic. The tone from your nylon
string guitars is incredible and the phrasing of your
lead playing leaves a big grin on face every time
I listen to the disc.
You never seem to run
out of ideas. Excellent work! Take care and thanks
again for the beautiful music. Hope to see you in
Victoria some time soon.

Dear
Mr. Gilliat, My
sisters and I just purchased 2 copies of each CD.
A set for myself and a set for our Mother. I am currently
playing "Freedom"
as I email you and have to say it
is truly incredible!
Our family grew up in
a household where music played a key role to our everyday
life. Our father was "thick" into music
and as a teacher - was also highly involved in his
school districts' choir programs. We were exposed
to everything from Oscar Peterson, Supertramp, Sting,
Elton John, Classical, Beatles and of course - Flamenco!
Our Dad actually has
just passed away - exactly 2 weeks ago. This Christmas
my sisters, my husband and I wanted to find something
extra special for our Mother and something we know
Dad would've bought, himself, for our Mom.
It
totally hit us that your music WAS the perfect gift.
There will be a large
piece missing - now that our Dad is no longer with
us........your music is THE
perfect thing to help our Mom's healing.
And I truly mean that.
I love the "notations" you've included for
your song's - nothing is more wonderful to hear what
makes the artist create what he/she creates.
We look forward to being
audience members at your shows in the near future
as well as supporting such a gifted artist.
Congratulations and continued
success! - Best wishes,

Awesome
Background Music (Posted on a
forum at www.fishingbc.com) Just
thought I'd some share some information on some recently
discovered music. I'm not related nor do I have an
interest other than sharing this with you.
The guys name is John
Gilliat and he's a local boy than really play the
guitar. He's what would be considered new world Flamenco
but it's so much more.
If you want background
music for a dinner party or to sit around the back
yard with your favorite bevy, this stuff is great.
Mrs FE and I have enjoyed a glass of wine or two while
sitting around the fireplace waiting for spring.
This
music gets to your soul(if you have one) and rejuvenates
you.
Anyway, try johngilliat.com
for a taste. It really is ....... well, it just is.

A
Great Collection of Guitar and Rhythm!
I loved this CD. I have all types of nouveau flamenco
and find this one being my favorite. If you've listened
to Armik, you'll find some of the same flavor in this
CD but with a better array of rhythms.
I can't wait for the
release of another album by John Gilliat.

Congratulations
John! "Freedom"
is simply wonderful! As you go from
one song to another, your mood might change slightly,
but the main feeling - of joy and happiness - will
remain in the background.
Let's hope we hear some
more from this talented guy...

Gilliat's
"Freedom" is an audiophile's dream!
As the other reviewers have mentioned, the music is
terrific. As an added bonus, this disc's recording
quality is first rate. You'll be playing "air
Flamenco" before the first cut is over!
Highly recommended.

Very
Well Done! I enjoyed the texture and
quality of the music
The man has a richness in his guitar playing. Zen
& Teriva really were tight.
This is good music pure
& simple. It takes you on a journey.
